In the "For the One" Dance there is an arbor, drumming, dancers, fasting for the dancers, a crew of helpers, and two chiefs, one female and one male. This year Morten Østbye and Teresa Hutson will lead the dance.
While the dancers move back and forth to and from the central pole, they are creating their own song the entire time. "For the One" was the vision of Jeanne White Eagle, who explains, "The vibrations of the singing carry one (and all) into the original vibration from which everything comes, and it is in this place that we can create, discreate and recreate anything we would like. It is here that we remember who we really are . . . one being, one consciousness, simply Love. And it is here that we remember there never was any separation. All that exists is a perceptual reality, thus, ‘the time of separation is over.’ The movement simply brings into being the reality of what the sound itself is creating."
Another unique aspect of this Dance is the strong international element. Dancers, crew, and now newly ordained chiefs from all over the world are carrying their countries’ unique vibration as well as their own uniqueness to dances all over the planet. Languages, colors, and religions are clearly coming together as One in love, community, and beauty.
The Sangoma in Africa see this singing dance as a fulfillment of an ancient prophecy which will herald the beginning of world peace. In Israel, the rabbis have informed the original dance chiefs Jeanne White Eagle and John Pehrson of Hebrew prophecies of a singing dance.
Many ancient native cultures have amazing prophecies for this time in the new millennium. Many believe that a new world will be with us soon. What if it was here already? What if it had already begun and miracles we never thought possible would start to happen? Those who participate in this Dance have a heartfelt belief that this Dance is that important. The "For the One" Dance is helping to baptize the earth. It is actually helping a new era to be born.
You may read this and feel a stirring inside. A kind of wondering-could this be something that you have been looking for? What if the prophecies were really true? What if a new world was upon us right now? We are conditioned to think that there is no magic, that God is some abstract thing that we can only aspire to. But what if we could be at one with God and could experience true love?
We would love to see you in March at the Center for Peace in Tennessee. The dance begins on Friday, March 23rd and continues until mid morning Monday, March 26th .
