PRAYER REQUEST |
What is prayer? Why do we turn to "something" beyond our
individual-ness with our heartfelt pleas for help and guidance?
Wayne Muller wrote in his book Learning to Pray that prayer is "a
deep, faithful listening, waiting for what is hidden to be
revealed.When we pray-when we retreat to a still place of deep
listening--.our prayers reverberate through the connective fabric of life."
The community of the Center for Peace is asked many times to pray for
a particular person or situation. Previously we passed these prayer
requests on individually or shared in small groups, but with the era
of email and technical evolution, why not use this medium for help and
healing.
Welcome to the prayer list, created so that the members of the Center
can bring those conditions for which they are requesting prayers to
the whole community. We ask that you enter prayer requests by
clicking on the submit your prayer link below. Requests remain active
for two weeks. You may resubmit prayer requests as often as you desire.
We hope that you will visit the site daily to add requests and to pray
for others. Our strong belief is that we are related to all that
lives and has consciousness, that our prayerful energy affects the
whole in ways we may not understand, and that Creator Spirit is
available at every moment for help and healing.
